Local fun in the North Georgia Mountains
What is there to do? Lots or a little, your choice! Have the time of your life at a local fair, craft show or music festival including Blairsville’s premier event – the Blairsville Scottish Festival & Games (the second weekend in June) or the Butternut Creek Arts & Crafts Festival (in July). Both of these festivals are listed among the Top 20 Events in the South by the Southeast Tourism Society.
What else? See top-name performers at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds, or board the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway for an adventure into the “old days.” Visit the many antique and craft shops nearby or shop at unique boutiques and country stores. There are also historical sites, golfing opportunities, and many restaurants to suit every taste and budget.
